Polyphonic Ringtones

Everyone understands that a free ringtone is an acoustic signal. It is played when a call is incoming on a cell phone. There are two types of ringtones available: the mono-tone and the poly-tone. Monophonic tones are only one tone playing at one time, polyphonic tones are multiple tones playing at the same time. And unlike monophonic ringtones, polyphonic ringtones are coming closer to real music. Whichever you choose depends on the type of cell phone you have.

Polyphonic ringtones are available in different formats:

  • 1. Midi-Ringtones

    These are the simplest and most readily available ringtones. Many single tones are played together as a piece of music, coming very close to the real music version. It's often possible to get free midi ringtones somewhere online.
